Trump has urged the Afghan people not to seize this opportunity for a peaceful and prosperous future. The Taliban ruled Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001. The Taliban government was ousted after the US launched an attack on Afghanistan on 11, September ,2001 alleging that Osama bin Laden was involved in hiding in an attack on a US landmark. But the Taliban group had abandoned the government and was extending its power by taking shelter in the rural areas. Talks between the US and the Taliban delegation had been going on in Qatar for a long time over the Afghan war. As a result of the talks this week, representatives of the United States and the Taliban agreed to a peace deal on February 29. On Friday night, Trump allowed a US representative to sign a deal. Within 3-5 days of the agreement, all delegates will meet again. It will discuss the status of women and minorities after the war. On Friday night, the Afghan government sent a six-member party to Doha for the agreement.
