Beijing:  China has announced sanctions against 11 influential US citizens, including US senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz. China has said it is protesting against US sanctions on Chinese officials, saying they are linked to the Hong Kong affair. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian told a regular press briefing at the ministry that sanctions had been imposed because some people had misbehaved in matters related to Hong Kong. China bans 11 Americans over.
